Manchester Music maverick Graham Massey is best known for his pioneering work with his electronic rave group 808 State. But to limit Massey to the dance music idiom is a big mistake.
Anyone who knows him understands that his passion and knowledge of music stretch far beyond club music. Massey has an unbroken timeline making and DJing music since the 1970s.
His projects include Biting Tongues, Massonix, Sisters Of Transistors, Toolshed, and Homelife—as well as film and theatre work. And his production and remix credits include Bjork, David Bowie, YMO, Quincy Jones, Goldfrapp, The Art Of Noise, Primal Scream, The Stone Roses, and many more.
Easy Listening Made Hard draws from Graham’s vast record collection and organises monthly themes with additional bespoke music made in response.
