Nick Mitchell Maiato is the founder of NQRA Radio.
Best known as a musician working across the realms of free rock, psychedelia, cosmic country, and improvised music, he is the founder of the bands Desmadrados Soldados De Ventura and One Eleven Heavy, and the label Golden Lab Records, which released a slew of experimental, improv, free folk, free jazz and psychedelic music between the years of 2005 and 2017.
His show Free As You’ll Ever Be explores the meditative and fiery depths of the many musics that were birthed out of the jazz idiom.
